1. Who we are
PLSConfig provides website design, development, configuration and related digital services. PLSConfig is a service of Print Lounge Studio Creative Labs Ltd, which is the organisation responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
If you have a question about this Privacy Notice or would like to exercise your data protection rights, please contact us using the enquiry form on plsconfig.com and state that your message is a Privacy Request.
2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through the PLSConfig website, we may collect information including:
- your name;
- email address;
- business or company name;
- existing website address;
- the type of website or service you are interested in;
- approximate number of pages;
- desired launch timeframe;
- approximate budget;
- required functionality; and
- any other information you choose to include in your project description or subsequent correspondence.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the enquiry form unless it is genuinely necessary for us to provide the service you are requesting.
3. Why we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- understand your enquiry and project requirements;
- respond to you;
- recommend an appropriate service or package;
- prepare estimates, proposals or quotations;
- communicate with you about a potential or active project;
- deliver services where you become a client;
- maintain appropriate business and project records; and
- protect and administer our website and business.
4. Our lawful basis for using your information
Where you contact us about a potential project, we process your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and, where appropriate, because we have a legitimate business interest in responding to enquiries and managing our business.
Where you become a client, we process information where necessary to perform our contract with you and to meet applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations.
The ICO requires organisations to identify a lawful basis and explain any legitimate interests relied upon in their privacy information.
5. How your enquiry is handled
The enquiry form on this website is processed using Netlify Forms. Form submissions are stored within Netlify and a notification of your enquiry is routed to the email account used to manage PLSConfig enquiries.
Netlify states that form submission data is stored within its systems and recommends that customers regularly review and delete personally identifiable information that is no longer required.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Who we may share information with
We may use trusted service providers where necessary to operate the website and business, including:
- website hosting and form-processing providers;
- email and productivity providers;
- accounting or professional advisers; and
- technical service providers required to deliver a project.
We only share information where it is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose or where we are legally required to do so.
7. International processing
Some of the technology providers we use may process or store information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards used by those providers for international data transfers.
Netlify states that personal data may be processed internationally and that it uses recognised legal transfer mechanisms, including contractual safeguards, where required.
8. How long we keep your information
We do not keep personal information for longer than reasonably necessary. As a working retention policy:
- enquiries that do not become projects will normally be deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful contact;
- information relating to completed client projects may be retained while reasonably required for project history, support and legitimate business purposes; and
- invoices, contracts and records required for accounting or tax purposes may be retained for up to six years or longer where legally required.
UK limited companies are generally required to retain relevant accounting and tax records for six years from the end of the relevant financial year. We will also periodically remove old submissions from Netlify where they are no longer required.
9. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete information in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how information is used;
- object to certain uses of your information; and
- request transfer of information where the relevant legal requirements apply.
You have the right to object where we rely on legitimate interests to process your personal information.
To make a request, use the enquiry form at plsconfig.com and write Privacy Request in your message.
You also have the right to raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The ICO requires privacy information to explain the applicable individual rights and to make the right to object particularly clear where relevant.
10. Cookies and analytics
PLSConfig may use essential technologies required for the website to function. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking technologies in future, we will update this Privacy Notice and, where required, provide appropriate cookie information and choices before those technologies are used.
11. Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice as the PLSConfig service, website or technology changes. The latest version will always be published on plsconfig.com with the date of the most recent update shown at the top.
